Our Consumers

Deaf Independent Living Association primarily serves deaf individuals and individuals with all types of hearing loss including, hard-of-hearing, late deafened adults, deaf-blind and family members of an individual with a hearing loss. We also assist businesses, other agencies, organizations and the community at large that have an interest in hearing loss.

DILA also considers the hearing community our consumers.  These include any individual, professional or family member who requires assistance with communicating, working or interacting with a deaf or hard of hearing individual.  While most of our programs and services require an individual to be deaf or have a hearing loss, we are here to assist and coach hearing individuals to gain access to services and resources they may need for the deaf or hard of hearing individual they are referring to.
