Parents of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children and Youths
Parents of deaf and hard of hearing children support group consist of a group of parents whose children have some type of hearing loss: deaf, hard of hear, cochlear implant, deaf-blind, and other disabilities. The group welcomes and encourages all parents of deaf and hard of hearing children and youths, regardless of the age of their son or daughter to join the group. Membership is free and the members adhere to strict confidentiality and agree that what is shared among the group remains among the group.
The purpose of the support group is to offer peer support, education and coping skills for parents dealing with issues related to hearing loss. The goal is to bring parents out of isolation and shed light and hope that their deaf or hard of hearing child can lead successful and productive lives.
Support group meet at 7pm on the 1st Thursday of the month at:
